Pros: Staff were friendly. Superb location right next to the train station, in fact my room was on the tracks virtually!! Glazing is good and keeps the noise out. breakfast was ok but not worth paying for if you haven’t already. 18e each. Beds are large and comfortable Cons: we were charged extra on arrival as the city tax had gone up since we booked. Not a good policy. If you have paid you have paid!!!!!!! No tea or coffee in rooms unless you are premium. Considering the cost of the rooms we had doubles they are very small. The bathroom is also very small. If you are tall or a big frame you will struggle with the bathroom. Could do with a freshen up.

Well I have never been to prison or to war but I would imagine that prisoners of war are better looked after than guests at this hotel. The rooms are so small that we had to take it in turns to open our suitcases ! Bathrooms are not more than 2 m2. Quite the challenge regardless of guest size. You can almost stand in the room & reach all perimeter walls without moving. No kettle is provided in the room let alone tea or coffee. The receptionist kindly offered to provide a kettle but no cups are available. We were directed to the supermarket if we wanted a cup or tea or coffee ! To cap it off you do not get bed sheets either so how they address bed hygiene between guests is highly questionable ! The only thing going for this hotel is the location. That said, do yourself a favour & DO NOT STAY

Was a bit worried about staying in this hotel after reading some reviews. To be honest, it was a great, brilliant location and couldn't fault the checking and the staff were friendly, we stayed for 3 nights in a standard room, which was a good size and clean. I didn't hear any noise from the trains, the bar area was nice and relaxing, I would definitely stay here again

Good port location but room is very small.

Room was way too small. We couldn't even open up our small luggage properly, let alone the larger luggage. When we opened up the small luggage, we had difficulty getting into the bathroom - the space was that squeezed. Location is good if you will be boarding a cruise at the Amsterdam port.

Had a few nights at this hotel which is located next door to the Central Train station in the heart of the city. The rooms had only basic amenities and were compact but fairly comfortable. The only issue we had was with the beds which didn't suit our needs. The breakfast was comprehensive with a good variety of hot and cold dishes. The staff were helpful and professional. All over a pleasant experience.
